A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic Work Based Tutor, with a specialism in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering apprenticeship Standards, to join the Engineering team.
The successful candidate will be required to carry out training and assessments within the workplace, including setting and reviewing targets and action plans. Candidates must be competent to up to level 3 and previous experience of delivering at level 4 would be an advantage.
The work based tutor will work with the learner to ensure all elements of the apprenticeship are completed to ensure timely success for the Learner. The applicant will be responsible for the whole learner journey including advice and guidance, the sign up process and employer liaison. This will also include direct liaison with Delivery teams in College.
Applicants must have occupational competence in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and hold the Assessors A1 Award (TDLB D32/D33) TAQA 301 Award, or be willing to work towards. Teaching/Basic Skills qualifications would be an advantage, although not essential.
Excellent communication skills and a professional outlook are essential. Flexibility to work additional hours when required and undertake substantial travel is also essential.
