The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) is an NHS trust providing emergency and non-emergency ambulance services in the South West of England. It serves a population of 5.3 million people across the counties of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire, as well as the Unitary authorities of Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. The trust is responsible for providing ambulance services, the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service (EMRTS) for the critically ill and injured, and a wide range of community services. These services include patient transport services, urgent care services, community response units and community first responders.
