The Exciting Role A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Teacher of A level Chemistry. You will be part of a highly successful team of dedicated A level staff delivering A level Chemistry to our A level students at Nelson and Colne College. In particular, the A level programme aims: To provide a highly ambitious curriculum and academic programme of study which inspires students to achieve their very best and which supports them to aim high and reach the extraordinary. To ensure the provision of a high-quality academic 6th form, offering a broad range of relevant A Level subjects. To support students to progress onto higher education and then onto exciting and ambitious careers. To ensure a strong focus on adding value, realising aspirations and equipping students with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress onto the best universities. To provide students with the widest range of experiences possible, building cultural capital; inspiring and enabling them to make a lasting and positive contribution to the wider society. The successful candidate will be primarily based at Nelson campus but may be required to travel across sites. This post could suit an experienced practitioner looking for their next challenge, a newly qualified teacher looking to make their mark within an Outstanding organisation, or a talented aspiring trainee teacher looking for support with their teaching qualification. Support our learners academically but also in the capacity as a personal tutor. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic practitioner who promotes and upholds the same high expectations as the College and its students.
