Functional Skills Training Coach – 14.8 - 29.6 hours per week – Fixed Term Contract for approximately 5 months. Salary – up to £37,000 pro rata

We have a new opportunity for a Functional Skills Training Coach who is an expert in English and Maths to join our Apprenticeship & Partnership team at Brooklands College. This role is crucial to continuing the drive to be an outstanding provider of training and development opportunities across the region, delivering Functional Skills level 1 and 2 to our apprentices.
About the role:
As Functional Skills Training Coach, your role will also include:
- To train/assess/coach/teach across a range of functional skills within the apprenticeship programmes.
- Create and tailor curriculum, resources and learning plans for each apprentice to develop their competency at level 2 in functional skills
- Use initial assessment and diagnostic data to direct learners to most appropriate learning resources.
- To assess training, review and record learner progress in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
To fulfil the role of Function Skills Training Coach you will have:
- Level 2 qualification in English and/or Maths
- Certificate in Education or equivalent or the willingness to gain such qualification
- An awareness and understanding of contemporary curriculum and assessment developments
- Possession of a current driving licence
- Willing to work flexibly, including evening and weekend work as required
