West Lancashire College is seeking an Art Design Lecturer to join our creative and dynamic Art & Design team to deliver excellent teaching, learning and assessment across a range of creative art specialisms.

You will be an enthusiastic teacher we experience of delivering a range of creative art specialisms to post-16 learners. We welcome applications from NQTs and experienced teachers from schools, sixth form colleges and other post-16 providers.

Key Roles
- Demonstrate a good an up to date working knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and assessment strategies and know how to use them to provide opportunities for all learners.
- Inspire and engage students through well-planned lessons with suitable structure, pace and challenges within the subject area of Art & Design.
- Carry out formal scheduled teaching and assessment of projects in the Art & Design department.
- Ensure lessons are effectively differentiated for the individual needs of students.
- Work actively to create an ethos that promotes equality, celebrates cultural and academic diversity and ensures the inclusion of students of all abilities, including those with special educational needs.
- Establish good relationships that promote progress, whilst maintaining motivation and positive attitudes to learning.
- Regularly monitor and intervene when teaching to ensure effective learning and maintain an environment where students feel confident.
- Carry out associated preparation and assessment processes. Keep full records, report on development, progress and attainment.
West Lancashire College is a general further education College based in Skelmersdale. We’re one of the largest employers in the West Lancashire area, employing almost 200 teaching and business support staff.
