Job Title: Assessor in Plastering
Department: Apprenticeships & Business Engagement
Salary: £25,962 + Market Supplement DOE
Are you passionate about sharing your expertise in plastering to help develop the skills of our students? If so, the apprenticeships team have an exciting opportunity for you. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assessor in Plastering to join our team and play a vital role in recruiting, delivering, and assessing competence-based training for our Plastering Apprenticeships.
We are looking for an individual who is committed to providing outstanding training and assessment for apprentices. If you are passionate about supporting the development of our future industry professionals and possess the necessary skills and experience, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering and assessing competence-based training, including group or classroom-based sessions, in the workplace or college environment
- Setting, marking, and assessing students' work, ensuring that learning outcomes have been met and providing constructive feedback
- Keeping up to date with relevant course subject matter, industrial/commercial developments, and legislation
- Collaborating with the programme team to provide guidance/advice on curriculum delivery and ensure timely completion of training for apprentices
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students at the College
- Ability to deliver high-quality teaching/assessment and learning on Plumbing and Domestic Heating Apprenticeship Standards
- Competency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint or equivalent packages
- Providing high-quality assessment and pastoral support for all students/clients
- Working collaboratively with curriculum/employers to produce quality standards
Essential Criteria
- D32/33 A1 or equivalent
- Level 3 or equivalent Qualification in Plastering
- Maths & English Level 2 or equivalent or willing to work towards
- Ability to convey information (both orally and in writing) to a range of diverse audiences.
- Ability to deliver high-quality teaching, assessment and learning on Plastering Apprenticeships
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in order to deliver individual and team objectives.
- Ability to work with a caseload of learners in the workplace environment and on-site at college. Working collaboratively with teaching staff.
- Excellent communication skills. Experience in Apprenticeship delivery of Plastering
- Appropriate knowledge of NVQ Plastering
- Possess sufficient breadth and/or depth of specialist knowledge and trade experience of Plastering.
