WBTC delivers training programmes in apprenticeships, bespoke commercial projects, study programme and adult education. We are seeking a new business winner to help us grow and bring our outstanding provision to more people.</p><p><b>Reports to: </b> Managing Director</p><p><b>Responsibilities in brief</b>:</p><p>To engage with employers to develop new apprenticeship opportunities for new entrants and current employees. Develop new commercial training opportunities with current and new employers. Support all learners for enrolment on WBTC programmes, provide good quality information, advice & guidance and promote WBTC services in the wider community.</p><p> <b>1. Business Development:</b></p><p>1.1 . Engage local employers through sales techniques to secure vacancies for applicants, enrol existing young people and promote funded courses for their adult employees</p><p>1.2 Provide Advice & Guidance to applicants who may be 16-18 or 19+ seeking work or study through WBTC. Through IAG accurately diagnose the most suitable learning route and liaise with colleagues for that learner to enrol employees.</p><p>1.3 Build strong and successful relationship with local referral agencies to ensure that recruitment/enrolment targets are met.</p><p>1.4 Carry out the of Young People into Apprenticeships and other programmes such as Study Programmes to achieve targets.</p><p>1.5 Carry out the promotion of Apprenticeship vacancies by ensuring targets are met and that routes to market (NAS, careers advisers, job adverts) are fully utilised</p><p>1.6 Ensure commercial business opportunities are maximised by cross-selling products and services</p><p>1.7 Liaise with training staff to assist the retention of learners on programme as required</p><p>1.8 Carry out the conversion of existing staff within companies to programmes on offer such as Apprenticeships, Workplace Training and other opportunities as directed.</p><p>1.9 Achieve recruitment targets on other contracts as they arise.</p><p> <b>2. Selection & Recruitment of Learners:</b></p><p>2.1 Maintain up to date records on company database.</p><p>2.2 Conduct initial interviews of learners in line with WBTC procedures and policies and provide IAG to applicants as appropriate</p><p>2.3 Provide ongoing IAG to learners especially to those in danger of non-attendance on their programme</p><p>2.4 Produce learner profiles and match learners to employer placements for Apprenticeships or work experience</p><p>2.5 Arrange employer interviews for suitable candidates and place in the most appropriate work placement for the individual</p><p>2.6 Attend company appointments completing specific company documents and maintain employer files to a high standard</p><p>2.7 Liaise with key partners to promote WBTC</p><p>2.8 Assist the achievement of company targets as set out in our Strategic Plan and other supporting documents in relation to contract and retention activities</p><p><b>3.</b> <b>Ongoing market research into new business opportunities</b>:</p><p>3.1 Conduct company profiling and source up-to-date information on employers</p><p>3.2 Maintain a Customer Relationship database</p><p>3.3 Conduct employer satisfaction research and evaluation to feedback for Self Assessment Report and Quality Improvement Plan</p><p>3.4 Maximise marketing opportunities by initiating campaigns and managing marketing resources</p><p>3.5 Attend business networking events</p><p> <b>4. Provide Business Support:</b></p><p>4.1 Arrange meetings and co-ordinate commercial training activities and facilitate necessary arrangements such as refreshments and room set up</p><p>4.2 Complete and maintain all administrative records, involving employers, learners, WBTC, Careers Service, funding partners as required by the role</p><p> <b>5.
