JOB TITLE: Business Support (MIS lead) – three-month FTC
LOCATION: Petty Pool Vocational College, Pool Lane, Sandiway, Cheshire, CW8 2DR
REPORTS TO: Head of Performance & Compliance
SALARY: £23,647.19 per annum
HOURS: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm – 35 hours per week (41 weeks per year – term time only)
DBS: Enhanced check required
About you
You will possess excellent data management skills and be competent in Microsoft excel including formulas. You may have had experience in using Power BI. You will be able to work effectively within a busy diverse team and have excellent time management skills. You should manage pressure well and be able to prioritise workloads and tasks.

Role Specific Responsibilities.
- Help develop and promote the use of MIS systems throughout the organisation, including creating guidance and training for the team
- Using Microsoft Excel, produce and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly data monitoring reports for the staff team and SMT
o Dashboards
o Regular monitoring reports
o Regular data cleanse reports to maintain quality and integrity of data
- Look to support the development of integrating Power BI and our MIS system
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Support maintenance of MIS system including staff, learner and general updates
- Support the monitoring, identifying and updating data on registers, qualifications, learners etc.
- Manage the enrolment process for our 24/25 learners
- Assist the Senior Management Team in maintaining a highly professional environment
- Archiving of records and filing of student information as required
- Always demonstrate consistent confidentiality
- Work as part of a team, sharing ideas and experiences
Qualifications and Experience
- excellent data management skills and be competent in Microsoft excel including formulas (E)
- You may have had experience in using Power BI (D)
- Awareness of good data management and confidentiality practice i.e. Data Protection and GDPR (E)
- Computer literate with experience of MS, Word, Excel and Email (E)
- Wide range of general administration duties (E)
- Experience of working in student focused environment (E)
- English and Maths GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above (E)
