Construction Department Lecturer in Construction – PV Solar Qualified Fixed Term - Sessional £42.64 per sessional hour (£35.12 + £7.52 holiday pay) To £49.18 per sessional hour (£40.51 + £8.67 holiday pay) Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) is a welcoming and professional Further Education (FE) college in North Hampshire. The college is currently looking to recruit a new construction lecturer to join our expanding Construction team. You will need to be a highly motivated team player and have the skills, drive and enthusiasm to deliver and maintain the highest standards on our courses. As construction lecturer you will primarily teach on Level 2 Multi-skills qualification for full-time students, who’ll be studying units such as; Carpentry, Painting and Decorating, Plumbing, Tiling, Health and Safety and Environmental. We currently have expertise within all these areas within the team, so resources are in place and advice is always on hand. About you (requirements): • High level of knowledge and experience in a variety of construction crafts • PV Solar Qualified • Hold a teaching qualification and a minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience or training within the construction industry• Hold a Level 2 qualification in a vocational, construction area • Committed to developing learners’ skills and technical understanding You will be required to be a tutor for designated groups of learners, which will involve guiding them through their individual learning journey towards their expected goals. Assessment, action planning and contributing to course development are all aspects of this role.
