Location: Sandwell, West Bromwich Working Hours: 37 per week Salary: £46,266 - £49,093 per annum pro rata Curriculum Lead – Visual Arts We are excited to share that an exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified, experienced and innovative educator to lead the Visual Arts curriculum area at Sandwell College. This is a fixed term contract opportunity for the duration of the Academic Year. Responsibilities In this role, you'll take the lead in developing a cutting-edge curriculum that fosters creativity, innovation, and excellence. Reporting to the Head of Creative Industries, they will act as a department lead, coordinating and supporting the work of the curriculum team, assisting the Head of Section in championing arts education and careers within the wider creative industries, supporting recruitment and further growth of the Visual Arts provision. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise The ideal candidate will have significant demonstrable experience in developing and delivering outstanding teaching and learning of vocational Art and Design qualifications across Levels 1-3. In addition to being proficient within their own teaching practice, experience in leading a team, maintaining high quality standards, leading internal verification and standardisation processes and ensuring all learners succeed and achieve is essential. To be successful you will have a recognised teaching qualification, (L5 or above) and an appropriate professional qualification relevant to the department.
