Computing and Digital at South Staffordshire College are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled teacher to support our Computing and Digital provision, working with our amazing team which has seen significant growth and investment by the college. This role will initially support our adult provision, specifically the delivery of Essential Digital Skills and tailored learning for a range of employers and community groups. Candidates need to support our high expectations in motivating our learners, developing their craft, requiring a high level of technical competence and up-to-date knowledge of practical Computing practices, and in supporting learners in their progression towards career in Computing. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of working in creative environment, and a proactive approach towards maintaining and developing new skills to support the rapidly evolving technologies and software used in the games industry. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to help play a vital role in further building our provision which is growing from strength to strength, and in supporting the regions aspirations as a digital and creative county. The successful applicant will have a degree in a computing related field, a full teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) or looking to work towards such, together with experience of teaching. They should also be confident in their use of a range of software including the Office 365 suite, have a strong technical knowledge of a range of hardware and software. They should also have a proven track record of planning and delivering bespoke digital skills training.
