About this role
We are currently seeking a talented individual with a passion for Ed-tech which enhances student learning and engagement. The successful post holder will work with the academic team and guide the development and implementation of online digital learning across identified health care courses. This is as an opportunity to contribute to our success in health care education within a TEF Gold University. You will liaise closely with the Head of Nursing and Allied Health, and the Learning Technologies Manager to drive through initiatives with the aim to positively impact learning and teaching, innovative working, and student success across the school. This role is a funded fixed term contract until 31st July 2025 as the role is funded through our success in gaining external project investment. The School has excellent immersive learning facilities either through using VR/Augmented technology or in our immersive reality rooms alongside a developing interest in the intersection of digital and immersive drama experiences.
About you
You will have a degree or equivalent experience in a related area with a sound understanding of pedagogical approaches and developments in education. Applicants will have an advanced knowledge of online and distance learning pedagogies such as blended, hyflex and gamification together with excellent digital literacy knowledge and experience of providing technical support both for the hardware and software. It is essential that you have experience and understanding in supporting colleagues or learners with their digital literacy. supporting simulated based learning in skills, scenario or VR learning in an educational organisation. Knowledge of project management workflows together with excellent interpersonal and communication skills that enables effective dialogue with a diverse range of people is also key to the success of this role.
About the team
You will work with a creative and innovative team both within the School of Nursing and Allied Health and our IT services, you will develop your expertise in health care education which is fast becoming the leading sector for applied Ed-tech opportunities as we strive to improve future health care professional education.
You will be based within the School of Nursing and Allied Health with support from colleagues in our IT Services who are keen to contribute to our student experience while enjoying a good work life balance. There is potential for UK based remote working with commitment to be on campus at pre-arranged points across the year.
