Distance Learning Marker - The Role:
At Wiltshire College & University Centre, we are expanding our Adult Learning and Commercial courses, and we're looking for passionate, innovative practitioners to join our team. We offer casual and self-employed opportunities for professionals who can design and deliver engaging programs that inspire our adult learners and help them achieve their goals.
As a Distance Learning Assessor or Verifier, you'll play a vital role in guiding and supporting learners in a range of subjects. You'll be hardworking, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards. With your energy, enthusiasm, and passion for your subject, you’ll inspire students, monitor their progress, and uphold academic quality standards.
Distance Learning Marker - Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student work against set criteria, providing clear, constructive feedback that motivates learners.
- Verification: Ensure assessments are fair, consistent, and meet the required standards.
- Student Support: Offer guidance, support, and empathy to learners, helping them succeed in their studies.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the academic team to maintain the highest standards of academic quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and participate in professional development opportunities.
Distance Learning Marker – You:
Qualified Assessors/Verifiers: You hold relevant qualifications such as an Assessor and Internal Verifier Award (A1, V1, or equivalent).
Experience: Demonstrated experience in assessing and verifying in your area of expertise.
Passion for Education: A genuine interest in supporting adult learners through distance education.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey feedback and support learners.
IT Proficiency: Comfortable using digital platforms, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), for remote work.
