Electrical Installation Assessor College location: East Surrey College (Redhill) Salary: Competitive (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience) Hours: Full time (37 hours/week) We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Electrical Installation Assessor to join our Apprenticeships department at East Surrey College. This role for the College essentially involves visiting learners in the workplace to assess their knowledge and learning for Electrical Installation courses up to and including Level 3. Your duties will also include; conducting practical assessments, monitoring and tracking progress, training and assessing and delivering the underpinning knowledge requirements of the qualification within the workplace. A key function of this role is to build strong relationships with those in the Construction industry on behalf of the College. The post holder will need to ensure that work placements are safe environments conducive to learning. Successful candidates must have: A minimum of a NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance Hold a Certificate/Award in Assessing (IQA or TAQA) Proven Electrical Installation industry experience A full clean UK driving license and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes as the role will involve travelling to local businesses Excellent administrative and IT skills The ability to plan and deliver a flexible workload It is also highly desirable for candidates to hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance and a teaching qualification.
