Job Title: Early Careers & Skills Development Coach – Engineering Location: Barrow In Furness. Salary: £41,997 – £44,997 Depending on skills and experience What you’ll be doing: Develop links with the relevant functions in the business to understand the requirements of the role and the apprenticeship standards Assess and monitor learner progress & performance in line with the apprenticeship standards and the occupational expectations of the business Accurately maintain and record data in accordance with funding and awarding body requirements and effectively manage the progress and performance of an allocated cohort of apprentices Understand and provide direction and support in the effective use of E-portfolios and Virtual Learning Environments Effectively plan, support and monitor apprentice placements to ensure clear objectives and alignment to the development of required skills, knowledge and behaviours Take professional pride in their role and embrace continuous professional development opportunities in support of delivering innovative and impactful teaching, learning and assessment Your skills and experiences: Essential: Experience of working an engineering business/commercial related role Knowledge of coaching and mentoring apprentices Desirable: Degree level qualified – Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or Nuclear Engineering Experience of assisting apprentices in working towards apprenticeship standards Further Education or Teaching background Quality and OFSTED experience Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
