DN Colleges are offering a pathway through our Future Lecturer Development Scheme, aimed at training and developing engineers into educators. The scheme provides extensive training, personal development opportunities, and support through our internal LET’s Teach programme, and enrolment onto a recognised teaching qualification. You will join the business as a Technician/Instructor within the Motor Vehicle team. Day-to-Day Responsibilities as a Technician/Instructor include: Support curriculum staff in supervising and guiding learners in workshops and practical areas. Plan, prepare, and assess work to meet external standards. Attend team meetings and contribute to quality assurance and course evaluation. Assist in curriculum development and evaluation of courses and materials. Participate in marketing activities such as open evenings and school visits. Modify and maintain equipment and resources, ensuring safety compliance. Demonstrate practical techniques to learners. Handle purchasing of services and supplies. Following successful completion of Stage 1 & Stage 2 in the Future Leadership Development Scheme, you will become a Lecturer with DN Colleges – but the support doesn’t end there. Our tailored approach to creating comprehensive pathways for the Future Lecturer Development Scheme ensures you receive the continued support required from our Lead Practitioners and Curriculum Leads, you’ll work a reduce timetable until you successfully complete Stage 3, and will work towards a recognised teaching qualification. Essential Criteria: Willingness to learn and develop through the scheme, becoming a Lecturer. Commitment to continuous professional development. Level 3 in Motor Vehicle or above. Strong communication and organisational skills. Maths & English GCSE grade C or above. Ability to supervise and support learners.
