Purpose and Objectives: Strategic Group management - generic to all Directors To contribute to the strategic management of NOCN Group as a member of the Executive Committee. Formulating with other members of the Executive Committee, the Group Board and the subsidiary Boards the business strategy and plan for the NOCN Group. To specifically contribute to the strategic planning process in respect of the non-related provision of skill solution including skills cards, on-line programs, assured and endorsed programs and developed with employers in-sector and integrated with other NOCN Group products and services, such as regulated apprenticeships and qualifications to help the Group form a one stop-shop for relevant sectors and employers. To support the charitable values and aims of NOCN Group, including its objective to influence Government policy and promote education and skills development for young people and adults. To ensure that the business development team are aware of all UK funding opportunities for our products and services, as a key selling point support providers with maximizing curriculum planning using funded skills. Role-specific Strategic Management To streamline the development of NOCN Group’s non-regulated skills solution ensuring that we consider optional delivery mechanisms Taught/On-Line and can be suitable for UK and international markets. In this connection the post holder will line manage several Departments that will support both the Awarding and Skills part of the Group’s activities; whilst drawing on the contribution from Departments line managed by the Group Director Awarding. To be responsible for the strategic development and prioritization NOCN’s skills portfolio. To coordinate the activities with the Group Director Awarding. Departmental Line Management To line manage the Heads of Departments as noted at the top of the first page, which will support both the Awarding and Skills parts of the Group’s business both in the UK and internationally. Digital Credentialing and Skills Passports To promote and raise the profile of NOCN offerings in the Digital Credentialing and Skills Passport with: - employer groups, and relevant trade organisations as well as international clients. To maintain and develop NOCN Group as one of the leading high quality credentialing providers for skills in the UK and internationally. To match the needs of sectors and achieve the required SLAs, through efficient processes and digital platforms. Non-regulated Skills Solutions (non-cards) To develop and expand NOCN Group’s UK and international based non-regulated skills solution such as assured programs (including SiteRight), endorsed programs, on-line programs and other similar products to a wide range of sectors, in accordance with employer requirements. To promote and raise the profile of NOCN’s non-regulated skills solutions, working relationships with UK and employers, employer groups and relevant trade organisations as well as international clients. To maintain and develop NOCN Group as one of the leading high quality non-regulated skills solution providers in the UK and internationally. To develop and expand NOCN Group as an internationally recognised non-regulated skills solution organisation and related consultancy. To provide a wide range of non-regulated support and advice to UK and international employers, training providers including materials and on-line support. Key requirements and criteria: The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria: Educated to degree level or industry equivalent experience. Management Qualification or equivalent membership. Experience of leading the development of skills solutions. Knowledge and understanding of curriculum planning processes. Occupational experience in educational sectors. Experience in business sales. Experience of working with diverse stakeholders including colleges, training providers and employers. The following criteria is desirable: Recognised trainer qualification. Assessor/ Internal Verifier/ External Verifier qualifications. Experience of skills credentialing and passport schemes. Proven track record in remote staff management.
