The role requires essential knowledge of the Cyber Security industry and the ability to effectively deliver this content to learners.<br/><br/>The curriculum offered at UC Leeds is vocationally focused and diverse in nature. The institution holds Foundation Degree Awarding Powers and partnered with the Open University for Level 6 provision. We currently have over 1300 students studying across the range of courses we offer.<br/><br/>Our STEM department’s curriculum portfolio comprises of a range of Foundation degrees and Top Ups within Digital, Computing and Science, Masters provision within Science and HNC/D’s in Engineering alongside a number of apprenticeships.<br/><br/>We know that with our Higher Technical Qualifications portfolio, UC Leeds sits firmly as a leading institution that offers graduates the digital skills they need to be successful in employment.<br/><br/><strong>Please apply as soon as possible as we are interviewing suitable candidates as and when we receive applications, therefore the role may close before the advertised closing date.<br/><br/></strong>What You Will Do<br/><br/><ul> <li>Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.</li> <li>Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.</li> <li>Maintain and update knowledge of the subject and / or vocational area.</li> <li>Create individual SMART learning targets linked to learner study programme/course.</li> <li>Adapt curriculum delivery methods to maximise their effectiveness, including through the use of technology.</li> <li>Apply theoretical understanding of effective practice in teaching, learning and assessment drawing on research and other evidence.<br/><br/> </li> </ul> <strong>About You<br/><br/></strong><ul> <li>Holds a L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE).</li> <li>Relevant highest-level vocational qualification or degree in teaching subject.</li> <li>Recent teaching delivery in relevant subject areas (PGCE teaching placements/experience would also qualify here) which demonstrates active learning and differentiated teaching styles.</li> <li>Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience of utilising a range of teaching practices to enhance learner journey and progression.</li> <li>Has knowledge of Privilege Escalation and/or Kill-Chain Cyber Attack framework.</li> <li>Has knowledge / Experience in tools, methods and techniques that can be used in the Cyber investigation process’.<br/><br/> </li> </ul> <strong>Benefits<br/><br/></strong>There are plenty of benefits available to our staff members, here are just a few:<br/><br/><ul> <li>Generous Annual leave entitlement - If you work full time, you'll get at least 39 days holiday plus bank holidays.
