You will be responsible for teaching a range of higher education courses, preparing lessons, and marking assessments. Your passion for education and innovative teaching methods will help us enhance our curriculum and student engagement.</p><p><b> Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><b> Curriculum Development:</b> Participate in planning and developing the curriculum to ensure it meets the highest standards.</li><li><b> Teaching:</b> Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions, both in-person and through blended learning approaches.</li><li><b> Quality Assurance:</b> Implement quality assurance and enhancement processes, ensuring academic standards are maintained.</li><li><b> Student Support:</b> Provide comprehensive support to students from pre-entry to post-entry, fostering a positive learning environment.</li><li><b> Collaboration:</b> Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen our educational provision and promote our programs.</li></ul><p><b> Relationships:</b></p><ul><li><b> Internal Contacts:</b> Work closely with the Assistant Principal, Higher Education, Director of HE Schools, Curriculum Leads, and other key staff members.</li><li><b> External Contacts:</b> Liaise with university academic contacts, external examiners, and various professional organizations.</li></ul><p><b> Professional Development:</b></p><ul><li> Stay updated in your specialist area and participate in staff development activities.</li><li> Engage in regular performance reviews and appraisals to continuously improve your teaching practice.</li></ul><p><b> Additional Duties:</b></p><ul><li> Support the college’s commitment to equality, diversity, health and safety, and safeguarding policies.</li><li> Undertake other tasks as directed to meet the needs of the college.</li></ul><p><b> Qualifications and Experience:</b></p><ul><li><b> Essential:</b><ul><li> Degree in a relevant subject.</li><li> Minimum Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy.</li><li> Current experience in an educational environment.</li><li> Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.</li></ul></li><li><b> Desirable:</b><ul><li> Relevant Master’s degree.</li><li> Teaching qualification.</li><li> Experience in higher education and primary education environments.</li><li> Membership of a professional body.</li></ul></li></ul><p><b> Personal Qualities:</b></p><ul><li> Commitment to the success of learners.</li><li> Ability to work collaboratively and independently.</li><li> Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, caring manner.</li></ul><p><b> This role is full time 35.5 hours and is a fixed term Contract until 27th June 2025</b>.</p><p> Join us at DN Colleges Group and make a difference in the lives of our students.
