The purpose of the role is to ensure that the College has an effective strategy in place that works effectively, delivering best practice and additional learning support in line with the SEND Code of Practice and the Equality Act. Role responsibilities: Manage, design, deliver and monitor in your area a curriculum which enables students to maximise their potential and succeed through effective course team leadership. Managing and leading SEND across a large college to provide a SEND training programme to teachers. Managing the support of students including a team of specialist SEND teachers and support co-ordinators. Teaching on a curriculum programme with a high proportion of students with SEND including supported internships. To provide innovative support solutions for neuro divergent students and embedding them across a large organisation. Managing a Personalised Learning centre that supports students for a variety of reasons. Liaising with local authorities, actioning additional funding for students with additional needs. Overseeing the implementation of exam access arrangements. Qualifications: A degree or post graduate study in a relevant subject - desirable. A full teaching qualification - essential. Management Certificate/Diploma (or a willingness to work towards)- desirable.
