Working alongside the Director to achieve the vision and strategic priorities of Oldham College, you will provide effective and efficient leadership, management and co-ordination of both the Faculty of English and Faculty of Maths’ staff teams and resources, ensuring that the English and Maths curriculum offers meets the needs of learners, employers and the local community. Key responsibilities for our Head of Faculty for English and Maths: To provide effective and efficient leadership, management and co-ordination of both the Faculty of English and Faculty of Maths’ staff teams and resources To ensure that the English and Maths curriculum offers meets the needs of learners, employers and the local community To develop and implement innovative teaching, learning and assessment methodologies and subject-specific pedagogies based on best practice from evidence-based research To act as a positive role model, leading by example and striving for excellence in all areas To be successful as a Head of Faculty for English and Maths you will need: Extensive experience of developing and managing English and/or Maths provision Good understanding of learner and customer needs and a successful track record of developing key strategies to deliver a high-quality service in all or some of the specialist areas of this post Experience of successfully managing changes to curriculum design and delivery Excellent leadership and management skills, ideally with post graduate management qualifications or significant CPD in management development Interviews for this role will be held on 29th August 2024.
