The Head of Personal Development will champion effective personal development initiatives, fostering engagement and learning to enhance retention, achievement, and progression throughout the Activate Learning group.<br/><br/>The Head of Personal Development will focus on improving the learner experience across our campuses, contributing to the personal development curriculum, and establishing a comprehensive support framework. In collaboration with the Group Director of Student Experience and Safeguarding, you will help create a safe, positive, and enriching environment.<br/><br/>Flexible, full time, permanent, working opportunity<br/><br/><strong>Key Responsibilities<br/><br/></strong><ul> <li>Personal Development Strategy: Lead and refine the personal development curriculum for diverse learner groups, collaborating with safeguarding, careers, enrichment, and progress coach teams to ensure a cohesive and inclusive offering.</li> <li>Partnership Building: Forge strong internal and external partnerships to enhance student support, resources, and growth opportunities.</li> <li>Team Leadership: Manage and support Regional Managers and Progress Coaches, ensuring high-quality recruitment, training, and professional development.</li> <li>Strategic Oversight: Drive the successful deployment of resources, budget planning, and quality assurance systems to meet internal and external standards.</li> <li>Continuous Improvement: Lead on performance evaluations, report KPIs, and contribute to Activate Learning’s strategic goals, including the quality improvement plan.<br/><br/> </li> </ul> <strong>About You<br/><br/></strong>The Head of Personal Development role requires a graduate-level qualification or equivalent professional experience, along with a teaching qualification or extensive experience in a related field. Expertise in designing and managing personal development programs for students, paired with proven team leadership and management skills, is essential.<br/><br/>You should bring experience in educational leadership or student support, a strategic approach, and a strong commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning spaces.
