An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT/Computing Lecturer who has the necessary qualifications, skills and/or experience to deliver teaching, learning and assessment and contribute to the effectiveness and success of Computing and Digital Courses. The successful candidate will plan, prepare, teach/deliver modules, and support learning across a variety of Computing and Digital programs. They would also be involved in course coordination, as well as providing guidance, feedback, support, and tutorship to learner groups. To teach a range of units from Level 2 T Level Foundation Year, BTEC Foundation Diploma and BTEC Extended Diploma in Information Technology. The Level 2/Level 3 Esports units relating to IT and preparation for the T Level Digital Production, Design and Development course, within the Department of Digital and Creative Industries. To act as Programme Leader, as required for one or more courses. Essential requirements: Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject area Industry experience in the IT sector Current teaching qualification to Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training/PGCE/Cert Ed Qualified to Level 2 (GCSE Grade A*-C or equivalent) in English and maths; Recent relevant experience of teaching to a high standard in the FE and/or HE sector Recent or relevant teaching experience in the BTEC Level 3 Information Technology Specification Good administrative skills with the ability to maintain accurate and relevant records in line with quality procedures; Excellent interpersonal skills and organisational skills; Interest and understanding of current educational initiatives; Ability to work flexibly and on own initiative to meet the needs of the college; Ability to motivate staff and work effectively as a team member; Ability to achieve consistently high standards under pressure; Willingness and ability to liaise effectively with external bodies and agencies; Willing to undertake professional development linked to the needs of the college; Computer literate; Driving licence and access to an appropriately insured vehicle.
