About the role This role designs and develops learning and career development opportunities in Hargreaves Lansdown, that support people to develop their current skills and grow their careers at HL. It supports and embeds the broader Learning & Careers strategy, roadmap and action plan. It is responsible for designing, developing and delivering initiatives that support our colleagues across the organisation, and assessing the impact of those initiatives. Join the Organisational Development team as our Learning & Development Advisor, where you will design and deliver impactful and creative learning and career development initiatives that help our colleagues thrive. As a Learning & Development Advisor, you will support and embed our Learning & Careers strategy, roadmap, and action plan. Your responsibilities will include partnering with business areas to understand development needs, designing effective learning materials, and project managing the deployment of learning programmes. You will also deliver engaging facilitated sessions, both virtually and in person, and support the development of our Learning & Development (L&D) coordinators. What you'll be doing Partner with business areas and internal colleagues to identify development needs and capability gaps, using data to inform solutions. Design creative, visually impactful and effective materials and toolkits across multiple channels and media types to meet colleague development needs. Project manage the deployment of learning programmes, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery, and report on their effectiveness. Deliver engaging and interactive facilitated sessions, both virtually and face-to-face. Develop colleagues in delivering facilitated sessions, ensuring best practices and measurable impact. Liaise with and manage external supplier relationships for the design and delivery of key learning resources. Design and evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives, reporting on outcomes as appropriate. Manage a team of L&D coordinators, delegating tasks appropriately and supporting their development. Collaborate with colleagues across Talent & Careers, DEI, Business Partnering, and the wider People Team to support learning interventions and deliver the learning strategy. About you Experience in designing impactful learning resources, including digital, video, and presentation materials. Subject matter expertise in instructional design and/or learning software, with knowledge of external trends and best practices. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Data-driven decision-making abilities, with the skill to assess data and translate it into actionable insights. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative working style. Ability to evaluate and continuously improve learning offerings. Proven experience in delivering engaging face-to-face and virtual learning sessions. Desirable: Experience in Financial Services, with an understanding of regulatory requirements and contextual obligations. Relevant CIPD qualifications, or equivalent. Experience in designing and deploying internal communications. Interview process Will entail a 2-stage interview process, including competency based questions and a case study Working schedule This is a full time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week.
