Learning and Development Business Partner
Job Summary
This role focuses on ensuring excellence in the development and delivery of our early career and talent programmes. The objective is to meet the business’s needs for early careers and professional development, helping individuals embark on successful careers at Keltbray.
The role holder will play a key role in delivering the People purpose of making Keltbray a place where our people thrive and the business succeeds.
Main Responsibilities
Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish current and future learning objectives and new training requirements, including training needs analysis for technical and statutory competencies.
Lead On Early Career Activities Including
Designing and managing apprenticeship programmes
Supporting graduate entry schemes and development pathways
Coordinating internships and placement opportunities
Organising work experience programmes
Coordination Of Academic And Professional Qualifications
Support colleagues in obtaining and maintaining professional memberships and charterships, ensuring they have access to relevant resources and guidance
Provide aligned support for delivering Social Value on projects
Organise and work collaboratively with mentors, ensuring they are appropriately trained and supported in their mentoring roles
Develop and deliver impactful outreach programmes in schools and colleges to promote career opportunities at Keltbray and attract early career talent.
Develop and deliver learning workshops for early career colleagues to give them the skills and knowledge to succeed in their careers
Oversee the coordination of early career programmes, ensuring alignment with project plans and timelines.
Deliver key programme management elements such as manager briefings, supporting rotation and placement planning
Deliver appropriate learning and development solutions which support effective talent management
Lead on the management of a range of third party learning providers
Skills Required
Knowledge
In-depth knowledge of learning and development principles and best practices, particularly in early career programmes
Knowledge of apprenticeship programmes, including the Apprenticeship Levy, Digital Apprenticeship Service and CITB
Experience in coaching and mentoring
Experience working within the construction industry
Experience in supporting professional development, including facilitating memberships and charterships with relevant professional bodies
Skills & Abilities
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage early career programmes effectively
Competence in training and supporting mentors to ensure their effectiveness
Professional and personable disposition
Collaborative and facilitative approach
Capability to support, coach, and inspire people at Keltbray to grow
