About the role
This is a fast-paced and diverse role, in which you will work closely with all students both FE and HE and all Curriculum areas to provide high quality support within the Learning Centres.
Duties will include:
- Actively supporting all learners (Higher and Further Education) in study through either planned or spontaneous learning opportunities.
- To have an oversight of the LRC and supervision of all learners
- Direct and support learners to use the most appropriate resources available that meet their needs.
- Provide excellent customer service to all users of the Learning Resources Centres and Library and their services
- Maintain all Learning Centre stock.
About the person
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service, as well as a vast knowledge of resources and computer programmes available within the Learning Centre.
Candidates should also have:
- Level 2/GCSE Maths and English
- Educated to Level 3 or above in a vocational subject (s)
- Possess, or willingness to work towards, an initial teaching qualification and coaching and mentoring qualification.
- Possess or willing to work towards a customer service level 2 qualification.
- ICT competency.
