About The Role As a Learning Support Team Leader
As a Learning Support Team Leader, you will act as a leader to our Mentors and Learning Support Assistants providing support with the day-to-day responsibilities including direct line management. You will be responsible for conducting supervisions, monitoring recruitment needs and retention and training and developmental opportunities. You will work closely with the Group Learning Support Team Leads and Delivery Managers to provide extra operational support.
This a full time (37 hours per week), permanent contract based at Reading College
What do you need to be a successful as a Learning Support Team Leader?
You will be resilient; solutions focused and have a clear vision for the team. The ability to lead, coach and motivate staff is vital.
- English and Maths at Level 2/GCSE 4
- Experience of working with SEND learners in a variety of settings.
- Experience of creating ILP’s and/or support plans for learners.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Evidence of providing effective communication
- Evidence of strong leadership skills
- Strong team values
- Ability to adapt flexibly to the changing needs of learners are essential
