With recent investments in our already outstanding teaching facilities, the College has a great deal on offer for both staff and students.<br/><br/>We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our Construction department as a Lecturer in Maintenance.<br/><br/>This role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of DIY, basic brick, plaster and carpentry knowledge. We welcome those with industry experience, who wants to share their skills to apply. No formal teaching qualifications are required. The college will fund and support you to obtain this. Your expertise in Maintenance/Construction will be at the heart of our curriculum, ensuring that students gain the practical skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the industry.<br/><br/>Your teaching day would typically Include 1 session of classroom-based theory and 3 sessions of workshop practical for Apprentices. For full-time students, it would typically include 6 hrs of workshop practical training and 4 hrs of classroom-based theory.<br/><br/>Providing the underpinning support and guidance that will help students fulfil their potential to improve their skills, knowledge and achieve their qualifications with the aim of linking fulltime students to apprenticeships in the industry.<br/><br/>Support students of vocational subjects in making sure that numeracy, literacy and tutorial sessions are attended and you will support them to engage.<br/><br/>You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain excelling working relationships with colleagues, students and stakeholders both internally and externally.<br/><br/><strong>Eligible further education (FE) teachers can apply for the first round of levelling up premium payments from autumn 2024 until spring 2025.
