Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy, Business School, Department of Management – Degree Apprenticeships This is a permanent, part time role of 0.2 FTE available immediately. The University of Exeter Business School has developed a suite of Degree Apprenticeship programmes designed in collaboration with employers to meet all aspects of the apprenticeship standards. UEBS aims to fulfil employer expectations and includes employer involvement right from the start of the degree. Our design is premised on the assumption that the most authentic and powerful pedagogy is one that focuses on the identification, analysis and resolution of immediate problems in the apprentices’ world, therefore these programme link learning directly to the working professional. We believe that this philosophy directly fits with the requirements laid down by apprenticeship standards, serving both apprentice and employer. The role The post of Lecturer in Project Management (Degree Apprenticeships) will be to support the delivery of the Level 6 Project Management Degree Apprenticeship programme. The post will include the design, development and delivery of teaching and learning material suitable for use in our Level 6 Project Management Degree Apprenticeship programme. This role specifically requires your being able to design and deliver a module on International Project Management and to prepare apprentices for the International Project Management Association (IPMA) Level D exam. The apprenticeship programmes are delivered through blended learning, a mixture of online, on-campus and employer premises masterclasses with a significant element of workplace learning and assessment. About you For a Lecturer post you will: Possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist and core knowledge in the discipline, demonstrated by a PhD (optional) or equivalent relevant professional experience in project management to develop teaching programmes, and teach and support learning; Use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students; Participate in and develop external networks, for example, to contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities; Will have evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and have made an impact at discipline programme level beyond their own teaching; Be expected to work towards Fellow of the HEA status and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
