As a lecturer you are expected to engage students in the learning process to ensure student outcomes are maximised. You shall also be required to contribute to the development of a range of subjects across the curriculum and to support the quality assurance processes pertinent to the programme(s) on which you are teaching.<br/><br/><strong>Please note this role is fully on-site to include both teaching and marking as we operate an on-site working model. We are looking for both full-time permanent and hourly paid Lecturers.<br/><br/></strong><strong>Main Responsibilities<br/><br/></strong><strong>ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:<br/><br/></strong><ul> <li> Design, plan and deliver lectures, tutorials and other teaching and learning activities as required by the Faculty. </li> <li> Design assessments and assess student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met. </li> <li> Provide timely and constructive feedback to students. </li> <li> Provide academic support and guidance to students as necessary</li> <li> Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate and necessary. </li> <li> Keep up to date with best practice in teaching and learning, and ensure that your teaching reflects best practice and embeds technologies that enhance the learning experience. </li> <li> Contribute to the design, development, delivery, review and enhancement of programmes of study within the Faculty and across GBS as a whole. </li> <li> Attend meetings as required, and develop productive working relationships within the various teams you will be engaged with. </li> <li> Participate in internal and external events, such as programme reviews, open days, outreach activities, and partner and internship visits. </li> <li> Undertake a reflective programme of staff development which includes teaching observations, directed study, workshop participation and experiential learning. </li> <li> Support and engage in the creation, application and/or dissemination of new knowledge in your field of study and/or in higher education practice. </li> <li> To participate in the GBS performance management programme, meeting a range of clearly defined objectives for student outcomes, student satisfaction, retention and attendance. </li> <li> Act as a Module Leader or undertake other administrative/management duties, commensurate with the level of the appointment, and as determined by the Dean. </li> <li> Take on other responsibilities as required to support the work of GBS, which may include acting in a more senior capacity as part of a programme of professional development. <br/><br/><br/> </li> </ul> <strong>Requirements<br/><br/></strong><strong>Essential Skills, Experience and Attributes<br/><br/></strong><ul> <li> Hold a Master’s, (preferably in Business Psychology) and preferably a doctoral level qualification in your field, or be able to demonstrate success at an equivalent level professionally. </li> <li> Have a passion for education as a transformative activity. </li> <li> Have experience of, and a passion for, working in widening access environments. </li> <li> Have experience of teaching in higher education. </li> <li> Have experience of supervising student work and providing support and feedback. </li> <li> Have experience with distance learning and supporting learners both face-to-face and remotely. Demonstrate professional conduct in all interactions with staff and students. </li> <li> Have extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter. </li> <li> Demonstrate attention to detail and accurate reporting. </li> <li> Be able to maintain thorough and organised student records. </li> <li> Be able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines. </li> <li> Be highly motivated and able to work with minimum supervision. </li> <li> Exhibit excellent communication skills. </li> <li> Be able to work with diverse groups of people. </li> <li> Be able to demonstrate industry experience in the field of Business Psychology. <br/><br/><br/> </li> </ul> <strong>Other Information<br/><br/></strong><strong>#indeedseptember<br/><br/></strong> </div></body></html>
