You will join us on a<strong> full-time, 1 year fixed term contract </strong>and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of<strong> £26,451 - £41,247 per annum.</strong></p> <p><strong>The Lecturer in Sport role:</strong></p> <p>As a <strong>Lecturer in Sport</strong>, you will undertake teaching and learning on the sport and coaching vocational courses whilst ensuring that student needs are met in a responsive way. The curriculum area offers learners a diverse range of learning opportunities, along with a full range of enrichment, sports, team building and challenging activities alongside Functional Skills.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities of our</strong><strong>Lecturer in Sport<strong>:</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.</li><li>Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.</li><li>Undertaking administration and providing reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.</li><li>Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.</li><li>Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.</li><li>Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.</li><li>Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.</li><li>Participating in marketing activities and promoting the College to gain sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.</li><li>Undertaking the delivery of literacy and numeracy.</li></ul> <p><strong>Our ideal Lecturer in Sport should have the below skills and experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Level 2 literacy and numeracy</li><li>A Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education</li><li>Relevant subject experience</li><li>Experience teaching and assessing learners</li><li>Experience managing diverse groups of students</li><li>An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications</li></ul> <p><strong>The Chichester College Group</strong> has seven colleges, Anglia Examinations, First Steps Childcare Group, Chichester English School and 2,600 staff spread across West Sussex and Brighton & Hove.
