Contribute to the overall success of our curricular area by assisting team members and the Academic and Quality Manager with the evaluation of learning and teaching. Help achieve the operational and strategic objectives outlined in the College Regional Outcome Agreement. Key Responsibilities Deliver Learning and Teaching activities to a broad range of learners and in a variety of educational settings. Primarily teach candidates in subject areas of Mechanical Engineering, subjects including but not limited to Dynamics, Statics, Strength of Materials, Thermofluids, CAD, Graphical Engineering Communications, Quality Management, up to and including HND level. Evaluate and improve teaching methods and curriculum effectiveness. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance team performance and curriculum quality. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Qualifications and Experience Essential: Qualified to HND/Degree (SCQF 8/9) or SVQ Level 4/5 in the relevant vocational area or Highest level qualification in the relevant discipline Relevant current academic experience Demonstrable experience and practiced skills following a vocational qualification Driving License as Travel will be required within Fife. Desirable: Teaching Qualification in Further Education (TQFE) SVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline. Broad demonstrable experience of curriculum delivery. Proven record of evaluative ability, to recognise areas for improvement and plan for excellence Skills and Attributes Effective communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire, encourage, and motivate students. Passionate about making a positive impact on students’ academic journeys.
