We have some new cohorts of engineering apprentices working with new employers on exciting projects, we are looking for someone that can interface with clients externally and be an ambassador for NWSLC whilst training our apprentices. Requirements for the role: You must hold relevant engineering qualifications at level 3 or above. E.g. HNC Mechanical /BEng Engineering. Able to teach and facilitate workshop skills [milling, fitting, turning] Able to teach Engineering Maths and Science at Level 3. Able to teach Engineering Maintenance, CAD, CNC. Desirable skills requirements, Fluid Power. Experience of working in the engineering sector. Desirable experience teaching engineering apprentices on IFATE standards. A desire to train the next generation of mechanical engineers. Hold an assessor’s qualification. Hold a full teaching qualification. Responsibilities for the role: Planning and delivering all aspects of teaching learning and assessment. Deliver high quality training to apprentices and work-based learners. Work at our college sites and when required on site on employer’s premises Inspire our students to excel in the sector and in their learning. The Location: The college is based in Nuneaton in a general further education setting. Nuneaton is a great place to live with plenty of social and sport facilities together with great transport links. The college also has a site in Wigston, Leicestershire and the MIRA Technology Institute, there may be a requirement to teach at these sites for part of the working week. Why Should You Apply? The pay range we’re offering is £29,778-£38,826 - this role qualifies for a consolidated pay package which includes Market Supplement (Up to £3,500) which is subject to review in line with market forces.
