Media Lecturer
Access Creative College London
Part-time, 11.25 hours per week
About The Role
Working with the media team and the Assistant Head of Curriculum, you’ll help deliver and develop our Digital Media curriculum at our campus in London. You’ll become an integral part of our well-established and tight-knit team with a support service provided by our Central Team. Working at Access Creative College means working with learners who are engaged, enthusiastic and passionate about the education they are gaining.
The successful candidate will be inspirational in their teaching methods, meeting our learners' needs by sharing their knowledge and experience with them, and becoming a role model. The post holder must help our learners connect their education with their future careers in the industry. The role involves working at the core of the student experience. As well as teaching and assessment, you will be coordinating resources, managing student activities, developing industry links and course marketing.
About You
You’ll have experience working within the creative media industry, or maybe you’re a recent graduate with a relevant degree. You’ll be experienced in photography, image editing and graphics and you’ll be familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar applications. Ideally, you’ll have experience working with young people, either through mentoring, guest lecturing or another education or support-focused role.
If you’ve previously worked in further education and have a teaching qualification, that would be a great advantage. For those who aren’t qualified, we’ll fund your teacher training and you’ll gain a qualification that’s transferable throughout the FE sector.
You will deliver inclusive, engaging and creative content through taught sessions across the week. You will mark and assess learner projects, setting high expectations and motivating them to be the best that they can be. You will be a role model, providing our learners with innovative, practical and employment-led training.
No candidate will meet every single desired requirement. If your experience looks a little different from what we've identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we'd love to learn more about you!
Diversity and open expression are fundamental to creativity. We are committed to promoting a culture of diversity and inclusivity for all our employees and potential employees.
