Role Purpose
This role is required to support Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology qualifications, though our Advanced Learner Loan contract. The Tutor/Assessor will be ensuring there is effective learning delivered through a blended approach.
You will be required to be flexible and support learners remotely and face to face, ensuring learners achieve their maximum potential throughout the programme.
You will provide a varied programme of delivery in line with the required qualification specifications and offer an integrated programme of teaching, training, support mentoring and development of learners. Quality teaching must be adhered to in line with Awarding body standards and Scheme of Works to ensure the timely achievement of learner goals and qualifications as per Company and Regulating Bodies KPIs.
Job Entails
Key responsibilities and objectives of the job are:
- You will support and guide the students at all times to ensure that the learning is fun, interesting, relevant, challenging and appropriate and meets Awarding body standards
- Your responsibilities will include guiding and supporting the students through the assessments, providing effective verbal and written feedback to ensure students develop their skills and have a clear understanding on their goals and targets and what is required of them to successfully complete their programme
- You will work within a team to help develop the course in terms of both the delivery strategies and current techniques/expectations
- Plan for and deliver high quality teaching in the subject areas required
- Have your room and resources set up and ready prior to lessons
- Ensure all marking, assessments and any moderation are completed in a timely manner
- Ensure all students are fully engaged with their learning; developing the skills, knowledge and standards required for successful completion of their programme and industry standards
- Actively encourage and promote the process and importance of developing essential English, maths and ICT skills
- Ensure all student and group tracking, records and notes are accurate and up to date
- Participate in continuous personal development in own area of expertise
Person Specification
Education / Qualification and Training
- NVQ/Diploma Nail Technology Level 3
- Assessors' qualification
- Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain designated qualifications
- Experience of working within a salon environment with an in-depth and practical knowledge of Nail Technology and associate delivery
- Microsoft Office skills
Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to relate well to a range of age groups
- Specialist knowledge applicable to the delivery of high quality teaching and learning within the subject areas
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Sound organisational, administrative and IT skills
- Ability to analyse, review and perhaps implement change
- Industry experience is essential for nails delivery
- Experience of teaching both theory and practical for Level 3 Nail Technology subjects, including the assessment of Diploma's
- Experience of implementation of assessment within the subject areas
