It is a free provision aimed at anyone over 19 years of age that does not have GCSE Math's at grade C to build their confidence with numbers and gain a qualification (if applicable) to be able to secure employment and/or training.</p> <p><br/></p> <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, talented and highly motivated individual to join our excellent Lecturing staff at Gower College Swansea. The successful candidate will have a passion for and experience of delivery numeracy and curriculum development. The ability to be both flexible and innovative is key. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, enthusiasm and tenacity and must be able to work well with a range of abilities.</p> <p><br/></p> <ul> <li><strong>Full-time (37 hours per week)</strong></li> <li><strong>Fixed-term (until March 2025)</strong></li> <li><strong>Secondment considered</strong></li> <li><strong>£22,904 - £45,077 per annum </strong></li> <li><strong>Across campus</strong></li> </ul> <p><br/></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>To work with the ‘Multiply’ team to plan, prepare and deliver a range of numeracy courses (accredited / non accredited) and ensuring excellence in teaching and learning.</li> <li>Effectively monitor and track learner progress, creating a positive environment to enable all learners to reach their full potential in terms of academic, social and personal development.</li> <li>Applicants will have a commitment to continuous improvement, will contribute effectively to curriculum development, extracurricular activity and assist with the planning and marketing of courses.</li> <li>To keep up to date with examination board developments within the subject area.</li> </ul> <p><br/></p> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Possess a suitable Numeracy / Mathematics degree and a recognised teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one).</li> <li>The ability to effectively deliver and assess.</li> <li>A very confident communicator and committed individual who can engage and inspire learners with varying degrees of confidence with mathematics.</li> <li>The ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of learners.</li> </ul> <p/> </div></body></html>
