We are looking for a P&D Business Partner to join the team on a 6 months period to cover Maternity. This role will be based on the Newcastle College Campus and is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, ambitious, and enthusiastic individual to join us. You will provide professional advice, guidance and support to our managers and colleagues on complex people matters. You will also be responsible for the management of a small team including a designated Advisor and Assistant. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships. You will need to be confident in your approach with the ability to challenge managers where appropriate. You should have a significant knowledge of current employment law and best practice, but able to weigh up risk in order to provide suitable business focused solutions. Previous experience in a unionised environment is advantageous. To be suitable for this role you will need to have 3+ years’ experience of working in a busy Human Resources team and ideally, will be CIPD Level 7 qualified or willing to work towards this.
