Bishop Auckland College has an exciting opportunity to join our creative industries department as a Skills Coach, for an individual who has high expectations and will be responsible for the effective skills development of students around their chosen vocational subjects. Job Reference: RS24/25/172 Location: Bishop Auckland Campus Closing Date: 18 October 2024 Pay: £23,827.31 pro rata Hours: 15 hours per week Duration: Temporary until June 2025 The role will include working within practice rooms, studios and classrooms to support students in their research and writing, perfecting skills and ensuring they work to task, as directed by their vocational tutor. About the role: The successful candidate will be required to possess minimum Level 2 in a relevant subject within Creative Industries and will have knowledge and experience relating to working within the specialist area. It is essential that the candidate possess a Safeguarding Level 1 or willing to work towards, a Level 2 in Literacy or willing to work towards and a Level 2 in Numeracy or willing to work towards. It would be desirable for the candidate to hold a Level 2 Equality & Diversity and some form of teaching qualification or willing to work towards.
