HMP Whitemoor are recruiting for an innovative and Personal and Social Development Tutor to deliver classes to learners. In addition to Personal and Social Development delivery (delivered Monday-Friday mornings) the expectation would be to teach other subjects to meet the contractual demands of the department (Monday-Thursday afternoons) - subject such as, but not limited to, Digital Skills. Experience teaching other subjects would be beneficial but not essential, support would be given to develop in other subject areas alongside the IT/ digital delivery, as long as you have a passion for teaching and a willingness to develop. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be creating a positive learning experience for diverse groups of learners within the prison. You will be helping learners to achieve qualifications they can use to gain employment whilst in custody and upon release. As well as qualifications, you will be supporting learners to build skills and confidence they can apply to other areas of education and employment. As an essential part of the learner’s journey, you can offer your skills and knowledge to guide them successfully through their courses.
