JOB OVERVIEW - Personal Training Tutor/Assessor We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate learner focused Tutor to deliver high quality, supportive and engaging qualifications to candidates enrolled onto our programmes in London and surrounding areas. You will be able to deliver one or more of the following: Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing & Personal Training (RQF) Level 4 Nutrition (RQF) Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage (RQF) Main Responsibilities: Taking full responsibility for a caseload of 15 learners Plan and deliver engaging classes and workshops that inspire learners to achieve Manage and prepare learners effectively in accordance with OFSTED and Awarding Bodies requirements in teaching, learning and assessment. Managing caseloads to ensure that KPIs are met Undertake induction, initial assessment, diagnostic, ILP, skills scan and reviews with learners ensuring feedback provided and acted up appropriately. Develop scheme of work, lesson plans and course resources for the delivery of the qualifications. Monitor attendance, punctuality, and achievement setting improvement targets where standards are not met. Delivering and managing learning of the qualifications using an e-portfolio system Embedding functional skills in the delivery of the qualification and providing the relevant support and guidance to meet the required standards of the qualification. Support a caseload of learners through providing effective advice and guidance and training to progress into sustainable employment, work placement, apprenticeship or further education Maintain accurate and complete tutor records, tracking, and monitoring learner progress and development to ensure high accreditation pass rates, and good retention. Ensure that 95% of learners achieve their qualification within the agreed timescales. Embedding British values, prevent, safeguarding, equality and diversity throughout the teaching. CANDIDATE SKILLS - Personal Training Tutor/Assessor What we are looking for: Experience of teaching learners aged 19+ Proven experience of teaching customer service/employability skills and work-related learning. Ability to use your interpersonal skills to manage relationships with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and with varying communication needs and requirements Excellent communication and teamwork skills Excellent time management and the ability to work to deadlines Great administration and organisation skills Excellent attention to detail IT literate and competent in the use of all Microsoft Office programs and internet Experience of using e-portfolios Knowledge and understanding of 'Safeguarding' vulnerable adults and children Ability to cope with a challenging and varied workload Qualifications – Personal Training Tutor/Assessor Teaching qualification at level 4 or above Fitness Instructing Level 2 / Personal Training Level 3/ Desirable Assessors/Verifiers Award D32/34 / A1, TAQA, CAVA Internal Quality Assurance Qualification, V1 SEND experience An interest in how learning can be supported and made more interesting by technology To be eligible for this role, the potential Tutor must: Hold the right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional references.
