We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Physiotherapist to work in our Buckinghamshire Community Learning Disability Health Team.
This is a full or part-time position for HCPC registered Physiotherapists with an interest in community LD services. The successful candidate will work as an integral member of a diverse multi-disciplinary team and will join the growing Physiotherapy service. This is a community role for a band 5 Physiotherapist and involves visiting service users at day centres, clinic spaces and their homes.
A passion for working with adults with learning disabilities in this varied and interesting role is essential.
The team has office bases in Aylesbury and High Wycombe. The role is county wide and we can adapt work locations, work days and hours to support your circumstances.
The role will involve managing your own caseload providing Physiotherapy assessment and treatment interventions for adults with a learning disability on our three main pathways, complex postural management, falls and mobility and community level respiratory care.
Interventions delivered will include a range of individual treatment and group sessions. You will have a role in health promotion and be a key player in helping continually improve and develop the service. Our aim is to bring Physiotherapy to service users in a fun and engaging way and you will be able to use your creativity to do this.

We are a supportive AHP team that work across the Trust with LD Physiotherapy colleagues in Hertfordshire and Essex and you would have many CPD opportunities and colleagues to work with.
As a Physiotherapist in the Buckinghamshire CLDHT you would be:
- Offered a structured induction program, giving you the confidence and skills to carry out the role
- Part of a Physiotherapy team made up of Physiotherapy Team Leads (B7), a Specialist LD Physiotherapist (B6) and Physiotherapy Support Workers (B4)
- Given regular clinical supervision and be actively encouraged to participate in CPD
- Part of an MDT that values Physiotherapy
- Part of a wider Physiotherapy network across of our Mental Health and LD services
- Working autonomously and able to use your creative skills
