The Directorate of School Professional Services is looking to appoint a Programme Co-ordinator to provide administrative support associated with the University’s programmes, playing a central role in the enhancement of programmes and the delivery of an excellent student experience.
The role holder will be a core member of the School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment programme team working proactively and in close contact with Programme Leaders for effective management and enhancement of the student experience, providing expertise, knowledge and assisting in programme monitoring and the production of student data to meet quality assurance standards. The role holder will also provide a flexible and professional support service in the student journey from enquiry through to Alumni.
The successful candidate should be educated to HND level or have equivalent relevant experience and be proficient in MS Office packages, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills together with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise conflicting workloads. The ability to work on their own initiative whilst also working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders is essential. The role holder will have experience of clerking meetings and will be able to identify opportunities for improvement whilst developing and implementing best practice. A working knowledge of Further/Higher Education, including the use of a student records system and experience of working in a student facing role is desirable.
