Position Summary
This is a delivery officer role responsible for the engagement of learners and committed to supporting our most vulnerable students by ensuring that provision is in place to enable them to fulfil their potential. The role involves teaching learners and supporting some vulnerable learners to ensure that provision is in place to enable them to fulfil their potential. The successful candidate will use engaging and creative teaching approaches in supporting learners to gain the required skills to help them achieve their employment goals.

Job Description
Springboard operates in a demanding and often changing environment. Members of staff must be flexible, adaptable, and willing to face up to changing circumstances and new opportunities. - Develop, tutor, and assess learners in meeting their personal learning goals.
- Encourage and secure learner achievement, attainment, and progression.
- Establish an innovating and creative learning and teaching environment in which learners demonstrate commitment to their studies, appropriate behaviour and a high level of motivation which promotes retention and attendance.
- Provide advice and guidance throughout the learner journey from recruitment to progression.
- Be involved in all aspects of the learner journey from recruitment to progression.
- Ensure that learners always behave appropriately and professionally especially when dealing with members of the public.
- Work with learners and delivery staff to help address underachievement, attendance, poor punctuality, behaviour and specific needs.
- Establish and maintain a high profile across Springboard using a range of proactive strategies to support positive behaviour.
- Promote a whole organisation approach in developing and implementing policies and procedures to overcome obstacles to learning and improve participation in learning.
- Maintain appropriate, effective records and administration including individual progress reporting and reviews in a timely manner.
- Assist in course development and review.
- Operate with flexibility around location and programme.
- Carry out duties in accordance with current quality systems and procedures.
- Ensure the operation of efficient and safe environments and operate within the guidelines of Springboard's Health and Safety Policy.
- Promote and support equality and diversity through the charity’s Equal Opportunities Policy
- Assist in marketing and promotion of Springboard programmes and services.
- To undertake other such duties which are commensurate with the post as may be required from time to time, by the Chief Executive or other Springboard Managers
Person Specification
- Assessing qualification Teaching qualification (or working towards)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience of teaching, assessing and quality assuring
- Experience of programme planning and delivery of employability qualifications
- Ability to travel to meet the needs of the job role
- Passion and enthusiasm for learner engagement
- Initiative and ability to plan own workload
- Up to date I.T. skills
- Minimum of level 2 or GCSE pass Maths and English
- Attention to detail
