The post holder will also be responsible for the administration of the Curriculum Area Review process, including scheduling lesson observations, meetings with staff and students, and the maintenance of Curriculum Area Review records and data. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Maintain College records of contact with awarding bodies and standards verifiers. Monitor the completion of the standards verification process for all diploma qualifications, ensuring certification for diploma qualifications is released in a timely manner. Maintain records of all standards verification visits and to notify curriculum teams of actions that must be completed as part of the standards verification process. Support the AP for Quality and the Teaching, Learning and Assessment Leads to organise cross college staff CPD events Make arrangements for reviews of all curriculum areas, including: - Scheduling lesson observations of teachers; - Inviting groups of students to focus group meetings; - Inviting groups of teachers to focus group meetings; - Taking minutes in focus group meetings. Maintain records of Curriculum Area Review minutes and lesson observation reports. Maintain records of the College’s Teaching, Learning and Assessment profile. Assist the AP Quality in the maintenance of the College’s Quality calendar GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES To ensure continuous professional development (CPD) requirements as specified by the College and that may be identified during College processes, for example Appraisal. To participate in the College Appraisal Scheme. To maintain awareness of the requirements of the College Health and Safety Policy and to be responsible for ensuring that the duties and responsibilities detailed in the College Health and Safety Policy are adhered to and carried out. To read and apply the College Safeguarding and Prevent procedures and to ensure that the duties and responsibilities detailed in the College Safeguarding Policy and Prevent Duty Policy are adhered to and carried out. To read the College Single Equality Scheme and to act in accordance with statutory obligations under the equality duties and in compliance with current Equality and Diversity legislation. To ensure adherence to the College Data Protection Policy. To work to the College quality standards and systems within the context of the College quality systems. To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as are appropriate to this level of post, including any reasonable request made by Head of Faculty or Senior Leadership Team. PERSON SPECIFICATION Level 3 or higher professional or academic qualification. Ideally a minimum of two years’ experience working in an educational setting. Experience of vocational diploma type assessments. Strong attention to detail Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and organizational skills. Good IT skills. Level 2 qualifications in English and mathematics. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Tenure of post: Permanent, all year round Hours of work: 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE and days worked TBD) Salary: From £22,553.00 per annum (pro-rata for part time) Annual leave: 20 days, plus 8 bank holidays, plus 4 closure days (pro-rata for part time) Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme (optional).
