Your Mission We are seeking a talented Interim Technical Instructional Designer to join our team on a contract basis, specialising in the development of highly technical educational content. As a Technical Instructional Designer at FourthRev, you will play a pivotal role in creating educational content that drives employability outcomes across a variety of technical domains, including Data Analytics, Data Science, Software Development, and more. What You’ll Be Doing Craft engaging, authentic, and relevant learning experiences that lead to exceptional outcomes for learners. Research, design, develop, evaluate, and refine educational content and learning assets for FourthRev products, including Written materials, Assessment tasks and activities, Peer-to-peer activities, Videos and multimedia contencontent, Interactive and immersive learning experiences Leverage your experience in technical fields such as data analytics, data science, or software development to create courses that support these subjects. Experience with coding languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is highly desirable. Work alongside contractors and consultants in the development of multimedia learning assets, providing design direction and ensuring ongoing quality assurance. Collaborate with internal team members, external subject matter experts, and service providers to ensure the development of high-quality, accessible, and sustainable learning materials. Engage in ongoing research and exploration to continuously uplift and improve FourthRev’s portfolio of products, identifying opportunities for innovation and enhancement. Be prepared to perform the full spectrum of learning design tasks, from initial concept to final delivery. Requirements What you’ll need to succeed: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Education, Instructional Design, Technology in Education, or Technical Writing. 5+ years of professional instructional design experience, with a focus on learning strategy and technical content development. Ability to distil complex technical material into student-centric, accessible, and engaging online courses, documentation, and instructor-led training materials. Strong ability to logically organise information, identify content gaps, and clarify complex concepts through targeted questioning and research. Exceptional research and writing abilities, with a focus on technical accuracy and learner engagement. Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines, and deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
