We are looking for a qualified and experienced (1 year +) Tutor/Assessor to deliver and assess Early Years Apprenticeships, Levels 2, 3 and 5.
Candidates must be suitably qualified within the early years, with strong early years knowledge and sector experience.
Qualifications/Experience:
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Level 5 qualification or above in Early Years related subject.
- Worked as an Early Years Lead practitioner/Manager or equivalent for at least one year.
AND:
Candidates must meet all of the following:
- At least Level 3 qualification in Early Years
- Occupational experience as an Early Years Educator (Level 3) or higher for at least one year.
- Assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA) plus one year's experience training and assessing apprentices
- 5 GCSE's at A-C or equivalent including English and maths
- Full UK driving licence, including insurance for business use
The successful candidate will have strong academic ability and be able to teach complex concepts and theories to apprentices with a range of backgrounds.
You will have a comprehensive induction and monthly supervisions to help you with any issues and make sure you are on track to meet the required standards.
You will need to have excellent organisation, administration, and communication skills and will be responsible for identifying learners' strengths and areas for development through initial assessment. You will be supporting learners accordingly through their apprenticeship, including through functional skills English and Maths, providing clear progress feedback to learners and support to ensure they meet their set goals. The role also requires you to monitor and ensure each learner's progression is recorded efficiently and liaising with employers, as well as the delivery of teaching sessions.
The successful candidate will be based from our Chorley town centre office, primarily conducting teaching and assessment sessions over Microsoft teams, and occasionally visiting learners within their place of work to meet the requirements of the qualification.
Salary: The rate of pay is £25,000 (based on full time rate). The equivalent part time rate based on two days per week is £10,000.
Flexible hours:
- 15 hours per week, conducted over two days.
- Flexible start and end times will be considered to suit the right candidate.
- We will also consider spreading hours across three or four days to fit within school hours.
Dress requirements:
- Casual dress is permitted during office days. Smart/casual dress is required during workplace visits.
