Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Residential Childcare Trainer and Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering apprenticeships programs through group and individual sessions at apprentices' workplaces, training centres, or remotely via MS Teams.
The role involves all aspects of training, assessment, and adherence to Quality Assurance and regulatory standards, using OneFile e-portfolio for planning, assessments, and feedback.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with us as a Residential Childcare Apprenticeship Trainer and Assessor. You will deliver the Residential Childcare Apprenticeships at Level 4 and Level 5. These apprenticeships include the Level 3 and Level 5 NCFE/CACHE Diplomas.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Deliver apprenticeship programs through group and individual sessions
- All aspects of training, assessment, and adherence to Quality Assurance and regulatory standards
- Use OneFile e-portfolio for planning, assessments, and feedback
Requirements
- Residential/social childcare qualification and/or significant professional experience in a senior residential childcare role
- Thorough knowledge of current children's home legislation in England
- A level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in both English and Maths
- Excellent IT and organisational skills
What We Offer
- An estimated salary of £24,177 per annum
- 26 days' holiday (prorated for part-time staff), rising to 28 days after 2 years' service and 30 days after 5 years' service
- Option to buy up to 10 days of additional annual leave (prorated for part-time staff)
