We are seeking an exceptional academic professional to contribute to the academic excellence of the Elizabeth School of London as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Statistics.
About the Role:
- This is a full-time position, with opportunities for part-time work. The successful candidate will be based at our Northampton campus.
- The estimated salary range for this role is £28K - £55K per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Main Responsibilities:
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Statistics, you will play a vital role in enhancing the academic environment and contributing to the development of high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Curriculum Leadership:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues to ensure the highest standards in teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with senior academics in leading initiatives for curriculum development and improvement.
- Teaching Excellence:
- Design and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences across a range of programs within a Higher Education setting.
- Tutor students, providing tailored support to help them achieve their academic goals and progress positively.
- Research and Innovation:
- Engage in advanced research activities, contributing to the academic profile of ESL and staying at the forefront of developments in the field.
- Participate in university/ESL research programs, fostering a culture of research and innovation.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement strategies.
- Play a pivotal role in the continuous improvement of teaching and learning standards.
- External Engagement:
- Strengthen links with external stakeholders, industry partners, and employers to enhance the student experience and foster collaborative initiatives.
- Represent ESL at external forums, contributing to the institution's reputation and standing.
Requirements:
- A doctoral qualification in a relevant subject area (Senior Lecturer only).
- At least 4 years' experience in teaching at HE level in the UK (Senior Lecturer).
- A Master's degree in a relevant subject area (minimum requirement for Lecturer).
- Previous lecturing experience for similar courses at the Higher Education level.
- Proficiency in utilising Blackboard/VLEs, MS Teams, and Zoom.
- Native speaker of English or, if not, have current IELTS 7.5 Academic Certification.
- Demonstrable ability to prepare and oversee implementation of programme development plans and assess colleagues' work.
