We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our L&D team in the position of Learning & Development Training Advisor.
This role will work closely with our operational business units, to build a deep understanding of their strategies and enable identification and diagnosis of capability gaps which will affect the business from achieving its goals.
This role involves advising the business on suitable learning solutions which will drive organisational performance whilst building strong relationships with a complex range of stakeholders, collaborating, and challenging to ensure best learning solutions are delivered.
Your duties would include but not limited to the following:
Recruitment & Retention
- Attend and co facilitate assessment centre days
- Main point of contact of the recruitment system and process
Early Talent
- Responsible for Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) Levy, working with the Head of Talent Management to ensure that the fund is fully utilised
- Manage the Apprentice Learner Journey
- Attend all Apprentice progress reviews
- Programme Management for the Apprentices and Internship programmes.
Learning and Development
- Act as the main point of contact for all training queries throughout the organisation
- Attendance at regular team meetings – collate notes and assist with project administration
- Facilitate coaching and training initiatives to focus on building performance and the capability of individuals and teams to support succession planning & talent development.
- Lead on the planning and delivery of Corporate Induction, ensuring resources are regularly updated to reflect key business changes
- Monitor of email Inboxes and manage the training calendar
- Proactively seek new innovative ways to manage training delivery, both remotely and face to face
- Provide administrative support to colleagues and external providers in the planning and delivery of Talent/L&D events and programmes
- Support the administration of expense and financial forms such as PO requisitions and liaising with 3rd party suppliers
- Support with the arranging of booking of venues, travel, accommodation, and catering for Talent/L&D events
Data Analysis
- Produce and maintain accurate records of learning and development activity in compliance with procedures and provide monthly analytical reports
L&D Systems
- Supporting the Head of Talent Management to ensure Forterra attract the development of HR systems and ways of working

About You
- Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Confident & outgoing personality
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and MS teams
- to be flexible to weekly travel across the UK
- to demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills
- to have experience in establishing credibility with HRDs and business executives, with a strong ability in delivering solutions
- to have previous experience in a Business Partner role, within HR/Learning & Development
- Holds a minimum qualification of CIPD 5
