We are seeking a dedicated Higher Education Lecturer and Researcher to join the Elizabeth School of London. As a member of our academic team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, research, and administrative duties.
About the Position
This is a full-time position requiring a strong academic background in computing, with a focus on teaching and research. The ideal candidate will have a doctoral qualification and 4 years' experience in teaching at HE level in the UK.
Main Responsibilities
- Teaching and Assessment:
- Design and deliver modules across a range of programs within a Higher Education setting.
- Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student learning.
- Mark and provide feedback on student assignments and exams.
- Research and Scholarship:
- Engage in advanced research activities and contribute to the academic profile of ESL.
- Pursue opportunities for collaborative research and innovation with colleagues from other disciplines.
- Student Support and Guidance:
- Tutor students and provide individualized support to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Mentor and guide students to ensure they make progress and succeed in their studies.
Requirements
- Hold a doctoral qualification in a relevant subject area (Senior Lecturer Only).
- Have 4 years' experience in teaching at HE level in the UK (Senior Lecturer).
- Hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject area (Min requirement for Lecturer).
- Have previous lecturing experience for similar courses at the Higher Education level.
- Be proficient in utilising Blackboard/VLEs, MS Teams, and Zoom.
- Be a native speaker of English or have current IELTS 7.5 Academic Certification.

The estimated salary for this role is £28K - £55K/year, based on experience and qualifications.
